Teeny tiny project…..

…cause I just can’t leave my dearest “Cammy” alone for one single day 😀

So since Easter is almost over, I threw myself at Dreaming Tree’s latest Freebie The Blossom Tag

DSC_0001 (14)

The first one I made in all white cardstock. I colored the background with Promarker pens and added another cutout piece on top of the other to hide all the paint overs. I also added an extra back piece/background so the marker doesn’t show through. The I added the flowers and some bling as flower centers….and voila – a cute tag 🙂

I made one more in black and white cardstock

DSC_0004 (13)

This one is definitely my favorite 🙂 Which one is yours???? Leave it in a comment 🙂

Yummy eggs….

….deserve some pretty baskets and wrapping. Today I made three small Easter projects – all to be given away to a lucky someone 🙂 I love nothing more than giving and receiving pretty gifts, so I always do my best to make a beautiful wrapping for my gifts. The two baskets I made I found at Sunshine-Hobby-Works (SP-design) and the easel card is a mix of files from Miss Kate Cuttables and the Silhouette Online Store.

First of the card:

For this card I used Digital Paper from Echo Park Paper (Dots and Stripes – Rasberry Smalldots) and AC Cardstock. The tree is a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables that I instantly fell for and the Easel Card is a Basic Folding  Easel Card from the Silhouette Store (Design ID #21331) I used a little dot of glitter glue in the center of each flower on the tree. Cute…right?

Next I made the Eggcup (Eierbecher) from Sunshine-Hobby-works.

DSC_0004 (10)

I found some OLD DCWV paper in my stash that I decided would be perfect for the cup. Then I found a cute 3D daffodil in the Silhouette Online Store designed by MiniLou (Design ID #112756) and glued it onto the side of the cup. I tied some raffia around the bottom and made a bow. Finally I filled some shredded wood the the cup as nesting and put in the cute egg. Easy peasy 🙂

Last but not least I made this cute Flowers Basket (Blumenkorb):

DSC_0002 (11)

This is also a file from Sunshine-Hobby-Works. I used some Maja Design Paper (Vintage Spring Basics) and filled the basket with shredded wood. Then I made a flower from several different Prima flowers and placed a butterfly brad in the middle. I also placed 4 small flowers in each corner and put some small sprinkles from Doodlebug Design in the middle. Finally I found some small dots to put on the front flap. This would actually be a great gift for a boys baptism 🙂

Now I’ll continue waiting for the Easter Kit that Dreaming Tree are releasing in the near future….those pastel colors are just the thing for me right now 😀 LOL.

Thanks for visiting ❤

Hello Mr. Easter Bunny…..

….and welcome back 🙂 Today I want to show you some Easter stuff I’ve been making. It’s pretty unusual that we decorate for Easter in our home, but this year Easter comes right along with Dans Birthday so why not make it a theme? All the items are from SVGCuts newest kit Happy Easter SVG Kit 🙂

First off I made the cutesy Bunny Marquee Sign:

DSC_0007 (2)

Though it’s a bit difficult to see, I used Maja Designs wonderful collection Vintage Spring Basics and AC cardstock. The lights are from Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Collection and I purchased a string of 24 lights and some green medium bulb caps. Mary from SVGCuts did a wonderful job on this one….since its a rather complicated shape. It measures 7.5” wide, 12” high and 2″deep ( Approx.: 191 mm. x 305 mm. x 51 mm. ) 🙂

Next I made the Easter Basket:

DSC_0009 (2)

I used paper from the same Maja Design Collection and AC Cardstock and for the bow I used raffia. The flower is several Prima flowers that I put together with a cute rose brad. This basket is pretty large and measures  6″ wide, 9.5” deep and 6″ deep. (Approx.: 152 mm. x 241 mm. x 152 mm.) I didn’t fill it all the way up with these chocolate/marzipan eggs (then it would weigh a ton) but put some shredded wood in as filler.

Then I made the Easter Egg Gift Box:

The papers is still Maja Design and I used raffia to tread the holes around the egg and for the bow. Then I added some Doodlebug sprinkles as decoration. This egg is also pretty large. It measures 5.5” wide, 7.5” high and 2.3” deep. ( Approx.: 140 mm. x 191 mm. x 59 mm.) I bet anyone would love to receive this egg filled with Easter treats…. Yummy 😛

Next I made the (not so) small Little Nest Favors:

DSC_0012 (1)

I’m going to be using these as place cards for Dans Birthday. They are very simple to put together as they only consist of three pieces. The handle I made from a chenille stem that I wrapped first in florist tape and then in raffia in matching colors. These cuties measure 3.5” wide, 2″ high (6″ high with the handle), and 3.5“ deep. (Approx.: 89 mm. x 51 mm./152 mm. x 89 mm.) The tag is made from chalkboard vinyl and I used a white Sharpie to write the names. I used some more shredded wood as filler and I think I’ll be filling them with different Easter treats.

Finally I made the gorgeous Carrots Shadowbox:

DSC_0007 (1)

This was somewhat trickier…..since I can’t buy shadow boxes in Denmark. But in my search, I came across this 3d Frame called KASSEBY from IKEA. It’s like a small cabinet with a hinged door on the front so it’s very easy to change the decor from time to time or season to season. I did not alter the size of the carrots for this project and I used raffia for the carrot tops. The background paper is from Kaisercraft called Base Coat Collection.

That was all I wanted to show you for now…..Since I’m going to be alone at home next week, I’m sure some more projects will form in my hands….

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think of these Easter Projects 🙂

Imagination running wild….

…cause I pictured this as a treasured wall hanging/painting in Bugs Bunny’s Rabbithole:

DSC_0004 (7)

This cute carrot comes from SVGCuts newest kit Happy Easter SVG Kit and is actually part of a file with 6 carrots in total to put into a shadowbox. Since it’s really hard getting one of those babies here in Denmark, I came up with this idea. Put it in a regular frame and let it pop out. This is actually a test cut I did….cause lucky as I was….I did infact find a 3D frame in IKEA today….So next project is making the file as it was intended 😉

The carrot is made of AC Cardstock (Carrot color 😉 ) and some raffia I had in my stash. I embossed the panels with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder from Sizzix and the little sentiment is from Doddelbug Design.

Just wanted to share this little fun project with you – Whatcha think??? Please leave a comment to let me know 🙂 and have a wonderful weekend 🙂

Spring has sprung……

well….the calendar says so. Here in Denmark it still cold but the sun is winning more and more hours as it’s climbing higher up in the sky and soon it’s time for coffee outdoors while the kids (that includes the Dad) are playing soccer on the lawn. Spring also means Easter and the recent years I havn’t gotten around to decorating for Easter. This year will be different and right now I’m totally in a Spring/Easter mood. So I made some projects to use for decoration and small hostess gifts.

First of is a rather large sign that I made from this weeks freebie from Treasurebox Designs.

DSC_0003 (6)

I enlarged it to 8″ x 11,5″ (approx.: 206 mm. x 294 mm.) From here on it’s all about choosing colors and gluing it together which is pretty easy. I used a Doodlebug gem as flower center and the little bee is part of a file from Miss Kate Cuttables. The paper is from Doodlebugs collection Springtime.

Next is the cute 3D Bunny from SVGCuts kit Bunny Hop SVG Kit:

DSC_0004 (6)

This handsome fellow is a gift box (the heads lifts off) and you can fill it with A LOT of Easter candies or leave it empty as decor. It’s very easy to assemble and measures 7″ wide, 9″ high and 5″ deep (Approx.: 178 mm. x 229 mm. x 127 mm.) Again I used Doodlebug paper for his tummy and I embossed the pink paper with the Swiss Dot Embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I used two black jewels as his eyes and pop dotted his feet. Isn’t he adorable???

From the same SVGCuts kit I made the Egg-Shaped Box:

The paper is also Springtime from Doodlebug Design and the flower is several different Prima flowers I had laying around. I used a small resin flower as flower center and pop dotted a small tag from the Doodlebug Collection. The cute box measures:  4.2″ wide, 2″ high and 5.6″ deep. (Approx.: 107 mm. x 51 mm. x 142 mm.)

The next box I found in the Silhouette Online Store and is designed by Nilmara Quintela:

This cutie is very very easy to assemble once you’ve cut it out and chosen your color scheme. I went with more Doodlebug paper (Duhhh!) This box is designed to hold two Ferreo Rocher candies, but the supermarket was fresh out of them so I picked some Toffifee candies instead and sized down the holes in the holder. I tied it shut with some pretty ribbon I had in my stash. The box measures: 4.72″ long, 2.75″ wide and 1.38″ deep. (Approx.: 120 mm. x 70 mm. x 35 mm.) Now who doesn’t want one of these as a gift???

Finally I made another little candy box, also designed by Nilmara Quintela and bought in the Online Store. Its called Mini Eggs Box:

Needless to say I used Doodlebug Paper for this ( 😉 ) and the flower is made up of different Prima flowers from my stash. The small box measures: 4.3″ long, 2.75″ wide and 1.18″ deep. (approx.: 110mm. x 70 mm. x 30 mm.) Another cutie hostess gift for Easter 🙂

Do I need to tell you how HARD it was not to eat the yummy candies I put in the boxes??? :-O (well…..maybe one little piece went down….or was it two???) 😀

Now my attention turns to the new kit from SVGCuts that was released today: Happy Easter SVG Kit ….. more to follow soon 😉

Being a Mom to two lively boys is a joy but also sometimes pretty trying. Like today when both boys are home sick. My youngest have been sick all weekend and today the eldest wanted to join “the fun”. So between this and all the other Mom-things to do, I didn’t have much time to craft. Dreaming Tree released a new kit last night, and of course I had to get it and make something from it….and what other than the Irish Coffee Mug. Just what this Mom needs…coffee! So I turned it into a coffee mug….no whiskey, sugar or whipped cream for me…I’ll take mine black as the night sky!

DSC_0002 (5)

I altered it slightly when putting the words “COFFEE” on the foot. The paper I used is from Lettering Delights paper pack Love-You-a-Latte that I printed onto AC cardstock. I used some gold embossed paper as trim on the bottom and on the top of the mug. It’s pretty big –  8.75″high  x 4.5″ wide  x 4.5″ dia.(approx.: 222 mm. x 114 mm. x 114 mm.) and if it wasn’t made of paper, I’d be sipping coffee from it right now! 😛

Things are not always what they seem to be….

Tonight I wanted to make one of the cute box cards from the Silhouette Online Store – Animal Explosion Basket – Cats by MiniLou. I did wonder a bit on the name…but not being as bright as I thought I was, I went to work on it. Not even when I had the file on the mat did it hit me…..so I carried on….cutting out all the pieces and started to assemble the box. Yup…THE BOX. This was no box card but a box-box….to put something in….like small pieces of candy. Darn it!

DSC_0006 (1)

Oh well….I finished the job and looked at the result. Now that is where I decided to turn it into what I thought it was to begin with. A Box Card. So I used the box from the Strawberry Basket Box Card from SVGCuts’ Box Cards SVG Kit (Cause it had the “handle” like the one from the Explosion Basket) I had to resize the box a little and cut a little from the middle pieces to make it all fit together…..but it worked!

DSC_0003 (2)

The paper that I used is from Doodlebug Design’s Back To School Collection. Cardstock is from American Craft and I used some Doodlebug Sprinkles to give the card a little extra 😉 The card measures about 2.75″ wide, 4.75″ high and 2.75″ (5.5″ x 4.75″ when folded flat) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 121 mm. x 70 mm. / 140 mm. x 121 mm.)

I did the exactly same thing for the next Box Card/Explosion Basket – Animal Explosion Basket – Ocean by MiniLou.

DSC_0002 (2)

For this one I used Prima’s Seashore paperpad 6×6, a ticket from Seashore Tags and Tickets set and some dots also from the Seashore Collection. The Box Card measures the same as the one above and in both cases there is an evelope inclosed in the SVGCuts Box Cards SVG Kit.

I am going to do the same to all the other Explosion Baskets from MiniLou that I purchased from The Silhouette Online Store (without thinking) so that they can fold flat like a Box Card. I seriously need to look more carefully on what I throw in my basket when shopping in the Online Store 😀

Here are the last brunch of the Card I made the last couple of days:

Spring Box Cards

Spring is…..almost….around the corner even though we got some snow last night. Today it rained all away. But the calendar says March and that is the first month of Spring, so I decided to make me some Spring Box Cards. I made three cards from SVGCuts kit Box Cards SVG Kit

First card is the Strawberry Basket Box Card:

For this cute card I used papers from Galeria Papieru – Tea for Two. The Strawberry paper was just perfect 🙂 And I used some Doodlebug sprinkles as flower centers. The card measures  2.75″ wide, 4.75″ high and 2.75″ (5.5″ x 4.75″ when folded flat) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 121 mm. x 70 mm. / 140 mm. x 121 mm.) and an envelope is included in the file.

Next is the Tea Time Box Card:

I also used Tea for Two paper for this one – the teapots and cups matches so well! The flower centers are gems from Doodlebug and cardstock is of course American Craft (It’s practically the only brand of Cardstock that I use.) The card measures 2.75″ wide, 6″ high and 2.75″ deep (6″ x 6″  when folded flat.) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 152 mm. x 70 mm. / 152 mm. x 152 mm.) This file also encloses an envelop 🙂

The last card is the Hot Air Balloon Card:

For this card I used a combo of Spring Collection and Easter Collection from Echo Park Paper and pop dotted the balloons and the clouds. The sentiment reads “Congratulations” and is made with a Silhouette Sketch Pen. I used some Doodlebug Sprinkles on the sentiment. The card measures 2.75″ wide, 5.75″ high and 2.75″ deep (6.75″ x 5.75″ when folded flat.) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 146 mm. x 70 mm. / 172 mm. x 146 mm. )

I have made some more Box Cards earlier also from SVGCuts:
