I come bearing gifts……

…..in gorgeous giftbags ❤

Here in Denmark we are in the middle of Confirmation season. I bet almost everyone knows somebody or somebody’s child who is being Confirmed this spring 🙂

So it was with great joy I discovered that Mary from SVGCuts had made this beautiful giftbag that fits the occasion greatly – The Crucifix Gift Bag:

This one I made up for a girl with AC Cardstock in Bubblegum and White along with patterned paper from Galeria Papieru “The Age Of Innocence” and some Sparkling Paper. I also added a handle made from hemp wire and a bow made from hessian.

I also made the bag in a boy version……

….using AC Cardstock in Lagoon and White along with the Galeria Papieru paper and more Sparkling paper. I also used the hemp wire as handle and tied some different bluish ribbons onto the bag handle.

I have seriously fallen in love with Mary’s shaped giftbags and I hope she will create more in the future….I for one is a taker 😀

Thanks for stopping by – hope I have given you some ideas for your next Confirmation, Communion or Babtism ect. Please remember to leave a small comment ❤

Garden Party

….it’s almost time! Time for sun, warmth, relaxation and those loooong evenings on the porch  – Man! I just can’t wait.

To endure the waiting time, Mary from SVGCuts made us some darling Box Cards to keep busy and dreaming on – Garden Party Box Cards

First of I made the Adirondack Chair Box Card:

This design is just ingenious! Folds flat for sending and pop’s out to unfold the cutest little chair with a pillow and a little flower. Gotta love it! I made this from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Sunflower and Moss and Graphic 45’s “Nature’s Sketchbook” paper 🙂

She even thought of making the back side fun:

Look at that little towel 😀

Next I made the Teacup Box Card:

I just love how the flowers fill the Teacup ❤ I used AC Cardstock in Latte, Sunflower, Moss and Vanilla and “Nature’s Sketchbook” again 😉 I cut out a small corner to put on the tag instead of a sentiment.

Then I made the Triple-layer Cake Box Card:

Ok so I got all crazy with the colors for the frosting but hey! – Art has no rules! 😀 I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Orange, Sunflower and Moss and again “Nature’s Sketchbook” 🙂 The flower centers for all the box cards are made from Enamel Accents by Ranger.

Following is the Birdhouse Box Card:

Come on! How adorable is this one???? It even has it’s own key ❤ For this darling I used AC Cardstock in Chocolate, Rust, Latte, Ash, Sunflower and Moss and of course also the adorable “Nature’s Sketchbook” paper 🙂 Gosh what I wouldn’t give to pick Mary’s brain once in a while 😀

Finally I made the Lantern Box Card:

I wanted an natural look for this baby so I used the “Snap Basic’s” 6×6 paper pad from Simple Stories. Love that wood paper 😉 I also used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Bubblegum, White and Moss and for the tag I used an old AC rub-on.

These cuties are just so adorable and useable and I bet I’m going to be making more of them. No problem cause they are so easy to assemble I did it without the tutorial video 😉

And All Together Now:

Thanks for stopping by and please remember to leave me a small comment on your way out ❤

….sure doesn’t feel like it here in Denmark right now. We’ve had some lovely days in late March and early April but now it looks like winter’s making a comeback 😦  Oh well…..bad weather equals crafting so that’s what I’ve been doing all day 🙂

Earlier this month, Dreaming Tree released a beautiful Spring Bundle: Spring Has Sprung and it’s from this I found my newest project – The Apple Blossom Lantern:

Normally I LOVE color – the more the better, but for this lantern I figured I’d go with a more natural look. So I broke out my wood-patterned papers from the KaiserCraft Collection Base Coat III and chose a dark pattern for the base and roof and a white painted pattern for the middle part. I also used AC cardstock in Chocolate, Key Lime, Blush and Tangerine. Finally I decorated the lantern with small pearls here and there. I also tucked in some moss around the candle for an even more natural feel.

I just love how this turned out and it’s NOT leaving my house!

I hope I have inspired you to make your own version of the gorgeous lantern and I hope to see lots of them on FB 🙂 Thanks for visiting today and remember to leave me a small comment on your way ❤

Time for Adventure….

…..soon I hope 😉 Summer isn’t that far away neither is our Summer Vacation 😀 Today I just couldn’t get it out of my head. Being home alone for three days will get your thinker thinking 😀 HA HA….. Looking at the gorgeous paper “Safari Adventure” from Graphic 45 didn’t help to get it off my mind so I decided to make something using that paper collection 🙂

First off I made the awesome Zig-Zag Bag from Travel the World SVG Kit by SVGCuts:

I’ve made this one before, but I just love the size and design. So perfect for gift giving. I made the bag itself in black AC Cardstock and decorated it with a quote from the Silhouette Design Store (Design #80218) and some cutouts from the patterend paper. I braided some hemp cord for the handles.

For a looooong time I have wanted to make the 8×8 Gift Box from Maison de Madeline SVG Kit also from SVGCuts and even it’s so easy to assemble, I just hadn’t found the right paper for it. But “Safari Adventure” changed that:

This gift box is so usable due to its size and I love that you can use a 8×8 piece of paper as top panel on the lid. Think of all the possibilities with Graphic 45 papers 😉 Oh my……

Finally I made one of the new Shadow Box Frames from Bird’s SVGs latest collection Picture Perfect

This is the “Large Square Shadow Box Photo Frame” and I altered it slightly since I didn’t use the flowers that come with the file but found some in the Silhouette Design Store that matched the paper – design #56209 and #136583 – along with some tropical leaves design #10191 🙂 I also changed the words on the label 🙂

I made the box in black AC Cardstock and decorated it with the awesome patterend paper. The lilies are made from AC Cardstock as well – in Raspberry, Sunflower, Pomgranate and Moss and I inked the flowers with chalk ink from Prima in light pink and orange.

Here’s a picture with all three items together:

*and look: April had her little calf in this picture 😀 *

And no…my Summer Vaca isn’t to Africa so I’ll just have to give these away to someone who is going or maybe has been to Africa 😉

Happy Easter and thanks for visiting. I’d love to hear what you think of the project ❤

Sand and Sea….

….is definitely the theme of the cute new collection from Birds SVGs Picture Perfect and especially the gorgeous Sailboat Shadow Box Light. This picture frame is just perfect for home decor, on the boat or maybe in the Summer House/Cottage 🙂

Bird made hers in all white and it is amazing…..fits in everywhere 🙂 But I wanted to see how it would look with some colors to it – not too much…just a bit here and there and this is what I ended up with:

I used AC Cardstock in Robins Egg, Charcoal, Crimson, Grass, white and Kraft. I backed the frame with light blue vellum with a sea themed pattern and closed the frame up with clear acetate.

All I did was double the insert pieces and cut them apart to make the colored pieces and then glue them on top of the original inserts 🙂 Easy peasy……

Looks awesome in the daylight but I love it the most at night with some LED lights behind the frame to backlight it…..

Thanks for stopping by today and please leave me a small comment on whether you like the frame in colors or not 😉

Eggs-tra Homemade…..

….nothing like fresh eggs right from the neighbors hens 😉 We’ve really enjoyed these yummy treats this weekend and with Easter coming we might wanna share some 🙂 So I needed to make a nice gift box for them and I found just the thing in Birds Nature’s Bounty Collection.

This egg-cellent box is just perfect cause it has a holder for the eggs so they don’t scooch around. It’s so easy to assemble and I made mine with AC Cardstock in Coffee (the color not the drink 😉 ) and Graphic 45’s “French Country” paper. The lid is made of acetate. I decorated with some enamels from MME and Simple Stories. The label is cut by hand.

I also made the lovely box in half size to fit some small Easter Eggs:

For this one I used AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg and Bubblegum and I used Doodlebug’s “Easter Express” paper. The label I made as a print and cut with a Doodlebug design and decorated it with some Doodlebug sprinkles.

Here’s a picture to see the two sizes:

Love both sizes and the usefulness of the box 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and remember I love to read your comments 😉
