Eggs-tra Homemade…..

….nothing like fresh eggs right from the neighbors hens 😉 We’ve really enjoyed these yummy treats this weekend and with Easter coming we might wanna share some 🙂 So I needed to make a nice gift box for them and I found just the thing in Birds Nature’s Bounty Collection.

This egg-cellent box is just perfect cause it has a holder for the eggs so they don’t scooch around. It’s so easy to assemble and I made mine with AC Cardstock in Coffee (the color not the drink 😉 ) and Graphic 45’s “French Country” paper. The lid is made of acetate. I decorated with some enamels from MME and Simple Stories. The label is cut by hand.

I also made the lovely box in half size to fit some small Easter Eggs:

For this one I used AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg and Bubblegum and I used Doodlebug’s “Easter Express” paper. The label I made as a print and cut with a Doodlebug design and decorated it with some Doodlebug sprinkles.

Here’s a picture to see the two sizes:

Love both sizes and the usefulness of the box 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and remember I love to read your comments 😉

  1. Those are so cool, Helle! My neighbors have 4 hens and bless me with eggs on occasion. They’re so delicious fresh. I’ve been wanting to find something i could make for them. You’ve given me a great idea and the smaller box is perfect, too. Well done!

  2. I absolutely love your homespun rustic look you gave the box for your glorious brown and white Chicken Eggs, they look Eggs-tra special!
It is such a contrast to the super fun and cute little Easter Egg box, anyone would love to receive some Chocolate Eggs in one of these!
I love them both, thanks Helle 🙂
