Beautiful Boxes….

….finally done 🙂 I’ve spent the most of a week or so thinking, making and embellishing boxes. Gorgeous and usable boxes from SnapDragon Snippets designed by Jodi G. Warner. I think I’m somewhat addicted to making these boxes 😀 LOL

First off – The Four Drawers Box: (found here )DSC_0103

I made the main box in AC Cardstock Latté and added panels of patterned paper from Graphic 45’s Vintage Hollywood. The colors are so vibrant so I had to place an equally colorful flower (made from different Prima flowers) in the top corner along with two leaves and embellished with a small metal charm. The knobs and feet are from Ideaology.

The box is pretty easy to assemble but the drawers is a tight fit so be careful when you open these 🙂 The assembly tutorial is found here.

Next I made the Box 3D 6×6 Window Lid: (found here or here)

For this adorable box, I used Kraft Cardstock and patterned paper from Graphic 45’s Botanicabella. I used some clear acetate for the window and a metal handle and feet that I found online. The flowers are made from various Prima flowers and the butterfly is also found online and I embellished it with some gem studs from my stash.

The box is very sturdy and usable either as keepsake or storage. It’s really handy with the window in the lid to see what’s inside and the box was pretty easy to assemble. The assembly tutorial is found here.

Next I made the Box Hinged Lid and Decorations: (found here or here + here)

For this cutie I used Kraft Cardstock and Graphic 45’s By the Sea. I found some different embellishments in my stash like some sea shells, starfish and seahorse along with the feet. The handle is from Ideaology.

This box is also very sturdy and useful. Very easy to assemble especially when you’ve assembled some like it before 😉 A fantastic box that I think I’m gonna use as a keepsake for things found at the beach 🙂 The assembly tutorial is found here.

Then I made the Latch Flap 3D Box to Decorate: (found here or here )

For this box I used AC Cardstock Black and Graphic 45’s Halloween in Wonderland. I chose this paper due to the lock and key embellishments also from SnapDragon Snippets (found here for the lock + here for the key or here for the lock + here for the key) It just seem to match up 🙂 The paper I used for the lock and key are by DCWV and is called Mercury  Glass Cardstock. The flower is made from various Prima Flowers and the feet are found online.

This box is also very sturdy and useful. I really like how it closes with the latch flap. This box also assembles rather easy 🙂 The assembly tutorial is found here.

Finally I made the Box 3D Secretary: ( Found here or here + here)

For this gorgeous box I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla and Graphic 45’s Communiqué. The flowers are made from various Prima flowers and the metal butterflies are from my stash. The hinges, pull-handle and feet are all from Ideaology.

This box is a bit trickier that the others but if you are careful to place the inner wall the right way, its easy peasy from there on. This is such a cute and useful box – sturdy too. Would be awesome as a gift for a Grand-parent or such. The assembly tutorial is found here.

So this is what I’ve been working on for some time now. Didn’t help much that I had to wait forever on some of the embellishments due to our crabby postal service (some are still on their way 😦 ) But I’m very pleased with the results and would love if you would write and tell me what you think.

Thanks Jodi for making such awesome boxes ❤

King Fisher…..

….is a rare bird here in Denmark. Nevertheless my youngest son age 9, has spotted one living close to the school he attends. At first I thought he had seen something else but he persisted and it turned out that one of the teachers, had seen it too. But does the little birdie want to be a photo model???? Nooooo…..way to shy for that. So after days and hours of waiting with the camera ready, I decided to make one instead. Being the complete dork at drawing, I turned to Bird of Bird’s SVGs and she made me an absolute beautiful SVG bird – ready for the cutting 🙂 My main idea was to make one for my kid to hang in his room but then I thought to make a card as well:

I used the King Fisher SVG ( found here ) along with a mixture of two of Birds freebie cards – The Cherry Blossom Card and the Leaf Frame Card from the Flower Card Bundles

I used AC Cardstock in Moss, Chocolate, Rust, Vanilla, Bubblegum and Black along with some sparkling paper in two blue tones. The background is a print and cut pattern from the Silhouette Design Store. I also added some bling to the flower centers with Crystal Stickles from Ranger.

I must admit I have fallen i love with this beautiful bird and I’m so happy Bird was able and willing to help me – thank you so much Bird ❤ My son was so thrilled to have his large King Fisher hang in his room. “It is the most awesome version of a King Fisher I have ever seen, Mom” he said and bragged about it to his friends 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and know that I cherish every comment you write me ❤

Here’s to love…..

….a quick little post to show you the darling Wedding Card I made for my Brother-in-Law for his wedding yesterday – The Oversized Floral Box Card from the Brunch Party kit by SVGCuts:

I used AC Cardstock in Ocean, Vanilla and Moss along with papers from Graphic 45’s Gilded Lily Collection. I also used some black glitter paper for the couple in the center ❤ Finally I used Nuvo Glitter Crystal Drops in Honey Gold as flower centers.

I also made the handy box for the card:

It just fitted perfectly for the gift card and still it wasn’t just another envelope 🙂 The couple really liked it 🙂

Needless to say we had a great rainbow-colored party and I’m so thrilled my Brother-in-Law finally got the man of his dreams ❤

Congrats Claus and Dennis – Love you ❤

Birds and bees…..

…..and flowers and trees……all part of the three cards I want to show you 🙂

Let start with the Enchanted Sparrow Card made from the Enchanted Sparrow Paperscape SVG Kit from SVGCuts:

This darling card is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Black, Bubblegum, Coffee, Chocolate, Caramel, Butter and Brown Sugar (sounds like a baking recipe LOL…) along with papers from Graphic 45’s Botanicabella. The little sparrow looks so lifelike ❤ Would love to have some more different birds to play with…. Mary! I felt like something was missing on top, so I added a small sticker with a cute sentiment 🙂

Next I made The Honey Bee Teapot Card from  Chamomile Friendship Cards also by SVGCuts:

For this cutie I used AC Cardstock in Powder, Sunflower and Limeanade along with patterned papers from Basic Grey’s Urban Prairie and some black glitter paper. I embellished the card with some sprinkles from Doodlebug Design and some jewels and a button from my stash. Finally I used a small piece of chiffon ribbon for the “Teabag”. The sentiment reads: Congratulations 🙂

Last but not least I made the Picket Fence Card also from Chamomile Friendship Cards:DSC_0012(Please ignore the missing jewel)

For this card I used AC Cardstock in Coffee, Sunflower, Raspberry and White along with more papers from Urban Prairie. I embellished with jewels in pink from my stash (Except for the one that escaped) and tied some raffia around the cute summerhat and on the sigh. I wanted to make the card a little bigger than the original but ended up making it HUGE LOL…..Oh well….here’s a card for writing many names in 😉

Hope you like my versions of Mary’s gorgeous cards….they were so much fun to make and to pick out papers for. I am still going through the archives of SVGCuts to see if I missed any more fantastic cards or 3D projects to make ❤

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you leave me a small greeting or comment ❤

Spring Time is Garden Time….

….out into the sun, fresh soil under your nails and bye bye to weeds and other pesky unwanted things. Have to make room for flowers, plants and veggies 🙂

Are you a garden lover? Then these cards from SVGCuts are just for you 🙂

First up the Seed Packet Card from Mom’s Garden Gifts:

I used AC Cardstock in Coffee, Vanilla, Crimson, Leaf, Sunflower and Apricot and Graphic 45’s “Home Sweet Home” patterned paper. I did change the flowers cause I didn’t think purple pansies worked for the color scheme. I used the cute flower from SVGCuts’ B Is For Birthday and used a wood dot as flower center. Finally I used a banner from the Silhouette Design Store and wrote “Congratulations” (in Danish of course) on it.

Next I made the Garden Scene Card from Mothers Garden also from SVGCuts:

For this card I used AC Cardstock in Crimson, Vanilla, Robin’s Egg, Key Lime, Spinach, Chestnut, and Moss. I also used Graphic 45 paper – this time it’s “Nature Sketchbook” and as flower centers I used some cute bling from my stash. Oh and I almost forgot the gold vellum in the window 😀

Now they are ready for lots of occasions like Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Weddings or what have you and I can’t wait to give them away 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today and please remember a small yet important comment to this crazy craft lady 😀
