….we all know this tune! You know – the Theme from Jaws! A fitting soundtrack for my tiny post today 😀
The other day when I posted the Acorn Shaker, Team Member Lee Cox mentioned her idea of making a shaker card from the latest collection by Bird – Jawsome but she didn’t have the time for it, so she gave the idea to me. Trying my best to honor her wicked idea, here is what I came up with:
I used the shark from the Shark Window Card and made it into a shaker card by adding 7 layers behind the front layer with the acetate. I removed the teeth on the back layers to give more room for shaking and made two front layers with teeth – one in red and one in white – to give the impression of bloody teeth. I also cut out tiny fish skeletons in white pearl paper and added a bit of red ink to make them look bloody 😀
The background paper I found in the Silhouette Design Store but any sea or wave paper could do.
The card is a freebie from the Card Bundles – the Pop-Up Slider Card from Card Bases. I added the green panels (they are actually the same olive green as the background) to give it a little extra and cut the text from red cardstock in a blood dripping font 😀
Finally I tied some red, white, grey and black raffia onto the slider (doesn’t show in the picture 😦 ) and added two small black pearls as eyes.
Here’s a little close-up:
Yummy!!!!
Thanks for stopping by to witness the twisted and bloody mind of mine (and Lee Cox’s) and don’t forget to tell what you think of this bloody fish-eating shark card 😀
What a neat idea to make that shark mouth into a shaker!

So much fun! LOVE it! And so would my 16 year old and all of his friends! I’m storing this idea away for a future card for one of his crew. I need a T-Rex design just like this, if you have any sway with Bird on her upcoming projects 😉😊
