Snowy Trees

Hello! 🙂 Just a small post to show you the two different trees I made out of Bird’s Snowflake Tree from her newest and absolutely gorgeous collection Christmastime.

First I made the tree the way Bird intended it to be:

I made it out of White AC Cardstock and the star is made from DCWV’s Mercury Glass Collection.

Here seen from above:

As you can see it’s very symmetrical ❤

Then I tried to mess things up and make a tree that is asymmetrical:

This tree is also made from White AC Cardstock but the star is made from Gold Pearl Paper. This tree is a bit fuller but still gorgeous. All I did was turn the center hole 45 degrees in every other snowflake.

Here’s a top view:

I can’t decided which I love the most and I really dig the idea of how you can play around with this tree any way you want. You can even make it rainbow colored ❤

Thanks for stopping by today – I hope you can use my little idea and please comment on it below ❤ Time for playing with the rest of the kit 😉

  1. That mercury paper is too cool, I’m going to have to hunt some of that down. I love the look of your random tree, it really does look fuller and more natural.
Thank you for showing us how to make both versions Helle 🙂

      1. Hi Helle I love the messed up tree funny you have done that as I was also thinking that could be done and I want to make it a lot smaller too as I want to put some small trees on a stepper card, I’m going to have to see if I can do it as they will have to be quite small,

  2. As I was watching the tutorial to make the tree, I also thought of making it asymmetrical. Real trees aren’t perfectly aligned. I very much like both ways and now that I see it done asymmetricaly I can’t decide how to make mine. Thanks for sharing. And thanks Bird for the beautiful design! Anxious to make mine!
