Perfect Hostess Gifts

Hi – so good of you to visit this fine november Wednesday – I’ve got a lot to show you, so you might wanna grab a cuppa coffee or maybe some delicious hot chocolate for this.

I recently found these yummy chocolate balls in a Coffee Shop called Kama Kaffe in my home town and these are perfect for hostess gifts. They are made by Grenaa Chokolade.

They look like ordinary huge chocolate balls but in fact they are a scrumptious package of hot chocolate. Put this one in your mug, pour some hot milk over it and stir – Delicious perfection!

Instead of just handing out the cellophane with the ball inside (BORRING), I decided to make some small boxes for them and the Round Ball Ornament Box 2.5 inches from Simply Crafty SVGs were just the thing!

So I made a bunch of them! Here we go:

This first box is made from AC Cardstock in Wine and decorated with patterned paper from Recollections’ “Autumn Dream”.

I also found some Prima leaves in matching colors and a beautiful Prima flower.

I also decorated with different gems from Prima.

This box I altered a bit – from a round hole to a leaf shaped one by using my Silhouette Studio Software and the Release/Make Compound Path function. The leaf is one I found among many in the Silhouette Design Store.

For this next box, I used AC Cardstock in Rose bud and Prima patterned Paper “Lavender Frost”

The leaves and flowers are also from Prima as is the gems.

The cut out is among the choices that comes with the box file.

The final fall inspired box is made from AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg and Prima patterned paper “Flirty Fleur”

Again I used Prima flowers, leaves and gems.

I also made some of the boxes with a Winter/Christmas theme – this one in made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and patterned paper from DCWV’s “Luxe Lodge” Stack.

The flowers and leaves are from Prima.

This has a real cozy feel to it – don’t you think?

The star cut out is also from the Silhouette Design Store and not part of the box file.

Here’s a Christmas inspired box for which I used AC Cardstock in Mulberry and Prima’s “Santa Baby” patterned paper.

Flower, leaves and gems are from Prima and I also used three tiny pom poms as Marshmellows.

The final box is made from AC Cardstock in White and patterned paper from DCWV’s “Christmas Plaid” stack.

Flowers and leaves are from Prima and the tiny pine twigs are Tim Holtz pine twine that I cut in small lengths and stuck in here and there.

So now I’m ready come the Fall and Christmas visits to friends and family – I really hope they like the boxes – the chocolate I know they will love 😀

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see you again very soon ❤
