I know. It’s only been a year since I moved but here we go again. This just wasn’t the right spot for us but we hope we’ve found it now and get to stay for years to come.
I was going to have this post ready for my usual spot on the first Wednesday of the month but *SIGH* ….. I had to go to the hospital due to a infected Gall bladder. The pain started at 4.45 am Monday and by 6.30-7.00 am I was admitted. Been pumped hard with antibiotics and there was even talk about surgery but it never happend. Instead I now have to wait two months for a control meating and decide weather I want the bladder removed in a risk surgery or live my life with occasional gall stone attacks. Geeee….what do you want? Plaque or Cholera? Anyways….I’m home, pain free and still on antibiotics and today is the day I want to post 🙂
This little project is made on inspiration of the move 🙂
The darling Vintage Flatbed Truck from Simply Crafty Svgs is downsized by 50%
I used AC Cardstock in Charcoal, Cranberry and Caramel along with Silver Metallic Kraft paper from Tim Holtz.
All edges are inked with distress Ink in matching colors and for the Flatbed I used a wood grain ebossing folder. I added panels on the inside too.
Finally I used various gems as head and tail lights and adhered the front bumper with a few foam squares.
For the load on the truck, I used the cute Moving Box freebie that I had Sandy of Simply Crafty Svgs design for me after Danish standards.
I downsized it to 25% of the original (very very small) and made 6 in total.
Then I added two chairs and a table I found in the Silhouette Design Store (design ID #26460 designed by Jennifer Wambach and design ID #26461 also by Jennifer Wambach)
These are also downsized to 25 % of the originals and tied to the boxes with some hemp cord.
I had several other ideas for truck loads – like this cute crate with apples made from a Silhouette Design Store fil ID #66549 by Lori Whitlock.
Again this is extremely downsized and the apples are made from small wooden beads.
I used a Cricut Marker to draw small nail heads onto it and the panels are embossed both on the inside and the outside and inked with Distress Ink.
This little darling is going to stay with me and remind me of this moving. It was so much fun to make this small.
Thanks so much for stopping by – please do leave me a small comment below and to all you US visitor – Happy 4th. of July

I love this project, but I am sad you got sick, especially since you have to move! Hang in there and thanks for another fantastic design. It does not matter where you get the design, you rock it all the time! Take care and I hope you get better soon. Don’t overdo it moving!

Aw thanks Sandy – Don’t worry. My head in up and my feet are down and there’s still a pulse. That’s a good thing, right? 😉 I think I know my limits when it comes to physical labor …. I least I hope I do 😀

Wow, no fun! Hope you are feeling better soon!
I did the gallbladder surgery a few years ago and doing great since. Recovery was easier than being scared of another attack.
Love, love, love the little moving truck and and all the amazing details you added. The brings are too cute for lights and I love the wood panels on the boxes. The way you tied all the boxes and chairs together was just precious! You have moved before. (Men seem to forget to tie things down! lol
Take care and look after yourself! 🙂
