Autumn Fairy Garden

Yes! Autumn is near and I’m soooo ready for it. I seriously have had enough of summer, sun and heat and I’m ready for cooler weather, gorgeous colors, falling leaves and the first visit from Jack Frost 😉

This is my favorite time of year. Not only because of the above mentioned but also because it means Winter Is Coming ( 😀 ) and Halloween is close…..muahahaha. Yes you know how I love Halloween but today it’s not about my beloved spooky holiday but about the tiny houses I told you about in the previous post – all dressed up for fall ❤

I call this decoration for my Autumn Fairy Garden because I like to believe that the tiny creatures would love to live in tiny houses like these:

These are all made from AC Cardstock and gorgeous patterned paper from DCWV Paper Stacks “The Good Wood Stack”, “Pumpkin Spice” and “Fall Basics” and decorated with flowers, pearls and gems from my stash.

Let’s take a closer look at them

First of is the Pumpkin Cottage from SVGCuts:

This delightful little cottage is downsized to 50% and is still pretty easy to assemble. I really love all the details  from the large leaf windows to the tiny flowers on them.

I put a LED candle inside to shine at night and it looks so cozy ❤ Lucky fairy 😉

Next is the Mushroom House – also from SVGCuts:

This one is made in original size but I left out the bottom box.

It’s a closed box – didn’t glue the roof down but it sits on tightly and I don’t plan to use it as other than decoration.

I found a flourish in the Silhouette Design store and used it on the roof along with a transparent moth/butterfly from Tim Holtz.

Lastly is the same Mushroom House but made in 75% of the original:

I decorated it with flowers from my stash and a flourish from the Silhouette Design Store, that I cut into smaller pieces.

I didn’t emboss the door but used AC Woodgrain Patterned Cardstock.

Now I’m done with my first Fall decoration. It’s very easy to move as it’s made on a glass stand. It’s actually a Cheese Bell but due to the roof on the Cottage, the lid doesn’t fit. Bummer….have to place it somewhere the cats can’t knock stuff over 😉

Thanks for joining me today – I hope you enjoyed my little Fairy Garden. I really enjoyed making it but now onto a new project 😀

Home Sweet Dirthole

So I recently moved and I’m not done unpacking – Gosh I have a lot of stuff. It’s not the kids’ stuff or my clothes, shoes or kitchen supplies that take up the most space. Not it’s my GINORMOUS stash of crafting materials and they’re scattered everywhere.

I’ve tried to organized it so the things I need the most (paper, cardstock, flowers and bling) are in the living room/kitchen where my new crafting space is and the rest is either in the bedroom, the hallway above the stairs or in the shed.

Thought I was done……but NAAAAAAH. This weekend we moved several boxes more. Where to put it all? :-O

My little townhouse is not that little – 114 square meters – so I’m actually pretty happy that I don’t have to move in to my new tiny creation – the Spring Egg-Centric House  from Simply Crafty Svgs…..Mine is dressed up for fall though 😉

This little cutie is downsized by 50% and is made from AC Cardstock in Clay, Vanilla, Concrete, Charcoal and Chestnut (with woodgrain pattern). I used papers from DCWV’s two Fall stacks: “Fall Basics” and “Pumpkin Spice”

All edges are inked with Distress ink and I used the embossing folder called “Cottage Stone” from Crafters Companion for the panels on the base.

I usually watch Sandy’s videos, but this time it seemed that I could put it together without….until made several mistakes (all covered up). Yup! I learned my lesson.

I totally in love with this whimsical roof ❤

Now this darling little house is a new addition to my other small houses made for fall (spoiler alert) and will look cozy and cute in the long dark evenings ahead.

Thanks for joining me today – I hope you’ll leave a comment below and join me again soon ❤

Apples and Pencils

If you, like me, have had your kids home all during the Summer, I bet you’re looking forward to what comes next: First Day of School!!! Wooooo hooooo!!!! 😀

It’s not that my kids have been that annoying, but they always manage to turn night into day and vice versa so it’s practically impossible to do something with them during the day – cause they’re sleeping and then awake and active when YOU want to sleep.

Oh well….it’s all over now…..Muahahaha!

Monday is first day of school for my boys and I really look forward to it. Getting the house all to myself for a couple of hours….ahhhhhh…..

Speaking of School start, Sandy of Simply Crafty Svg’s made the cutest Back to School files and I decided to make a few of them. Both are sized down due to lack of storage space here in my new home, but that doesn’t make them less cute.

First off is the Apple Box:

As mentioned, I sized it down to 60% of the original size.

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Crimson and Woodgrain Patterned Kraft along with patterned paper from Doodlebug Design “Back to School”

All edges are inked with Distress ink and I used some small dots from my ginormous stash on the label as well as a few stickers from the paper collection.

Finally I glued a cute dotted ribbon around the lid and bada bing…..

Adorable, right?

Next is the 3D Pencil Box:

This little cutie is downsized to 50% and I also used AC Cardstock for it – this time in Latte, Charcoal, Melon and Bubble Gum. I also used Bazzill Bling Cardstock in Tungsten and patterned paper from Doodlebug Design.

All edges are inked with Distress Ink and I used two embossing folders to make a little texture on the pencil – Notebook from Sizzix and one from Cuttlebug which name I’ve forgotten but it looks a bit like twigs.

This little box is just right for giving away school supplies like pencils (would have to be made in the original size though), erasers etc.

So now, all that’s left to do, is to crack open a bottle of wine and celebrate freedom this coming Monday 😀 LOL……Ah come on! I know you feel the same way! 😉

Thanks for stopping by today – sorry I’ve been missing in action for a while but moving has taken up all my time and energy. Luckily I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and I can free up some time for resting and crafting.
