Back in time……

….just a little bit. Back to last year when Dreaming Tree started. One of the first bundles released, was the Vegas Road Trip SVG Bundle. I instantly fell in love with the cute Lucky 7’s Slot Machine:

It’s a fair sized box and it can easily hold a LOT of candy 😉  It’s a very easy box to cut and assemble and so much fun to decorate. Choose what ever paper you want – it’ll look awesome! I went for a kinda realistic look, so I used some foiled paper that I embossed with a Swissdot embossing folder from Cuttlebug, some already embossed cardstock from AC with a woodgrain pattern and ordinary AC cardstock that I embossed with a Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations folder called Diamond Plate. I designed and printed backgrounds (red and yellow) with my Silhouette Cameo for the “Jackpot” and “Lucky 7’s” panels and used some different colored gems as decor. Finally I used a black Spade shaped brad to hold the handle on the machine.

I think this box is a keeper….now to find room for it – YIKES!!!!

Thanks for visiting – don’t forget to leave a small comment with yay’s or nay’s or just to say Hello 😉

Love you Mom….

Another beautiful SVG Kit has left the skilled hands of Ron Gutman and Dreaming Tree. This time it’s Mothers Day themed. I Love You Mom SVG Kit features a gorgeous Peony Gift Box, a Mailbox Bouquet Box Card and this cute Hydrangea Tray.

The three flowerpots are boxes for small gifts for Mom. I used Graphic 45s “Secret Garden” Collection for the panels on the boxes and on the tray. I put some glitter tape around the edge of the tray and the letters – which by the way spells Mom in Danish – are in gold foil paper. I inked all the little flowers to make them look more lifelike. These are attached to a half styrofoam ball each with pearlized pins. For a better result you can paint or spray the styrofoam in a green color….I just didn’t have any paint so mine are white. Doesn’t show in ordinary light 🙂 Then I glued the styrofoam to the leaf and the leaf to the box lid with hot glue.

This is a very easy and fun project to make and I bet your Mom is going to love it. Thanks for visiting 🙂

Been waiting sooooo long….

…but now its here! SVGCuts made my dream come true with the Fairy Cottage SVG Kit. For a long LONG time I’ve wished for a fairy house/cottage and my fairy Godmother (Mary from SVGCuts) heard my wish 😀

Here it is in all it’s splendidness:

I must admit though….it’s missing a piece (but it’s in the mail thanks to the wonderful Katie Smiley) On the bare panel on the left, I’m going to place a cute arrow embellishment made from Tim Holtz’s Game Spinners.

I just love how this cutie blends right in with natures own colors and for this I used Graphic 45’s Enchanted Forest Collection and AC Cardstock. The fence on the little porch is made from twigs found in my garden 😉 and is held together with hemp cord. The small door handle is a wood dot from My Minds Eye Sleigh Bells Ring Collection. The two jewels placed on the two roofs are from my own jewelry stash 😉 Both faceted crystals and the small crossbow and sword in the middel are silver colored charms. The smoke from the Chimney I made with some cotton from a cotton ball 🙂 Oh….and the small sign is from AC DIY Shop Signposts. I wrote the text with a white Sharpie.

The brown roof is embossed with a mesh embossing folder, the green roof is embossed with a folder from Ultimate Crafts called “Layer upon Layer.” The stub panels are embossed with a woodgrain patterend folder from Sizzix. The chimney panels are embossed with a brick patterend folder from Sizzix.

In side the house I put a string of LED lights and it look totally awesome when it’s lit in the evening. That’s when I know my small fairies or Hobbits are home 😉

Here are some close ups of some of the cute details of the Cottage:

Thanks for visiting 🙂

I just had to do it…..

When an idea pops up in your head, you just have to jump over to your machine and make it….Of course I had to make a Halloween version of the Doves Cascade Card from Dreaming Tree.

IMG_4315

Naturally when you need to take a GOOD picture of your project, your camera runs out of battery so I had to settle for a less perfect picture from my Iphone. What unfortunently does show is the alterations I made on the card. Instead of hearts I put little evil eyes. Then I made a skull instead of the center heart. The doves I made into bats (the black is glitter paper). The sentiment I wrote with a Silhouette Sketch Pen on my Cameo and I off-set the orange part of the label internally to make another layer….to make it look a little more like flames. The embossing folder I used for the panels is from Craft Concepts.

Guess I see evil Halloween stuff everywhere…. Ha ha ha  😀

Confirmation cards

It is that time of year again. Time for Confirmations (affirmation of baptism) and lots of cards are needed for this occasion – Yay 😀 So here are some cards I made for a female Comfirmation.

First of is the Garden Shadow Box Folded Card

DSC_0006 (2)

This card is designed by Carina Gardner. I used Kraft cardstock for the card and the colored items are made from AC Cardstock. I used double sided foam tape to create the shadow box effect and that’s that….A cute, simple and easy card for the special girl on her special day 🙂

Next is the Filled Flower BasketDSC_0007

This card is actually a box designed by Carina Gardner but I altered it into a box card with the help of the Strawberry Basket Box Card from SVGCuts’ kit Box Cards SVG Kit. I used the box and panels from SVGCut’ card and the inserts from the box. I had to cut of the top of the inserts to the box to make it fit and then I just placed the flowers like I wanted to – Easy Peasy! I used Kraft Cardstock and AC Cardstock for the card and small adhesive rhinestones as flower centers. The panels are embossed with a Sizzix Embossing folder called Lovely Lace.

Last I made one of the gorgeous new Cascade Cards from Dreaming Tree – Daisy Cascade Card SVG

DSC_0001 (2)

This one is a lot more easy to make that it looks. The card is cut in AC Cardstock and the glitter paper is also from AC. I used some white organza ribbon to tread the card and a green glittery Silhouette Sketch Pen to write the sentiment. The flower centers are Prima “Say it with Crystals” gems. The panels are embossed with a folder from Craft Concepts called “Tuscan Tiles”.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment. Would love to read if you liked the cards or not 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend ❤

Goofing around…..again ;-)

Hello again 🙂

As you might have figured out, I do a lot of goofing around when it comes to paper projects and what I’m about to show you is no exception. When I say “goofing around” I mean making stuff that I’m not making for anything or anybody in particular…but just for fun.

Surfing through my files, I found this cutie and I just had to make it….it’s some years old but none the less adorable…..so here it is:

The “Bee Happy” 3D Beehive Frame designed by Alaa’ K

DSC_0004 (1)

This file I found in the Silhouette Online Store and I used my Cameo to cut out all the elements. The background paper in all the cubes are from Echo Park Paper called “Country Drive” and is an older collection. I printed it onto AC cardstock, inked the edges with a brown inkpad and glued it into the assembled cubes. The frame is glued together with ordinary paper glue – I use Scotch Strong ‘n Precise Glue. Then I cut the letters  – first in cardstock and then in Glow-in-the-dark vinyl and mounted them with pop dots. Finally I put a hook on top so that I can hang the frame on my wall….Looks AWESOME in the dark 😀

Thanks for watching and don’t forget to leave a comment ❤

What goes on in my autistic mind….

…well it’s a puzzle to some. Usually it’s chaos with lots and lots of thoughts swirling among each other and other times my mind actually works! 😀 I’m not your average autistic person since I don’t only have ADHD, ADD or Aspergers…..I have a blend of it all plus more. This does come in handy when being creative 😉 Just look at what I made this evening…..

I’m lucky that I actually got something done, cause tonight my mind wandered off a million times and while crafting I was surfing the Internet for fabrics, playing Candy Crush, looking for new art supplies, reading the news. drinking coffee, instructing my hubby to put up more lights in my room (I’m getting old and can’t see 😀 ) and talking with my kids….No wonder I just finished.

Well this is kinda just my way of saying: Happy Autism Day ❤
