Aged to Perfection

Hello – here to show you a gift I made for my girlfriend and her husband.

She turnes 50 and he turned 60 this fall and we were invited to celebrate both.

 

So what do you make for such a couple? Well SVG Attic had the answer:

The Aged to Perfection kit contains among others this Wine Cask Gift Box and Vintage Card that I found to be perfect for the occasion.

I made the barrel in AC Cardstock and patterned paper from Simple Stories and added Jodi’s grapes from the JGW Communion of Faith kit. Those grapes are a bit time consuming but once you get the idea of how they go together, it’s just easy peasy.

The Vintage Card is also made from AC Cardstock and Simple Stories patterned paper. I quadrupled the numbers and added some rosegold foil for some shine. I also dotted the letters and stars with a white Sharpie.

 

The gift was money and I added a small pouch inside the card for them. Then I took some shredded wood and filled up the barrel along with some candies.

And they loved it 🙂

Once upon a time…..

…..in a land far far away, lived a small fairy in a beautiful Pumpkin Cottage. It was made of all the best paper material you can find and the fairy was a happy little fairy.

The Cottage was designed by another beautiful and talented fairy called Mary. She had made lots of gorgeous paper houses and other stuff and the small fairy was thrilled to be living in a genuine SVGCuts Pumpkin Cottage.

The small fairy was so happy and excited with all the amazing details that was put into the cottage.

and she hoped to live there forever and ever……but…..

An Evil Witch moved to the far away land and bought herself one of Mary’s cottages. Only this one wasn’t made of dreams and happiness but of nightmares and bad luck.

The Evil Witch loved her sinister cottage and invited lots of her sisters in to cackle and brewing toxic potions.

They would use hours looking at the horrible details of the cottage.

But one day, the Evil Witch invited the Small Fairy over for coffee. They became the best of friends and lived happily ever after.

Creepy Candalabra…..

I can’t seem to get enough Halloween decor and my latest addition to my ever so growing collection, is the Creepy Candalabra from SVG Attic:

This gorgeous but spooky centerpiece is made from lots of AC Cardstock in Wine and Black. I made some black panels myself that wasn’t included in the original file as I wanted to put in tea lights and these panels made it much studier. I just love how you can see the Wine Cardstock under the black…..it really makes it pop 🙂

I think come Halloween, I will spray some spider webs onto the candalabra to make it even spookier and it will be the new table centerpiece for our Halloween Birthdays ❤

Skellington on a Stick

Hello – hope you’re having an amazing Tuesday today 🙂 Mine’s been pretty lazy so far but I guess soon I’ll have to go stretch the old bones and go for a walk.

Talking about bones….I was so inspired by Annita Kristine Schøtt Pedersen’s cute snowman on the SVG Attic Fanatics FB page yesterday, so I had to make one myself. I don’t know how the idea popped into my head, but I realized that I wanted to make him into Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare before Christmas”

He is made from the Spring Spiral Snowman from the  JGW Made of Snow kit. All I had to alter was the face (found one in the Silhouette Design Store #156604), make the butterfly by welding two bats from the Silhouette Design Store (found here and here) and draw some white lines with a Sharpie.

I also cut some “hands” in white and added to the arms on both front and back and finally I made a button from the skeleton on the Mourner’s Hat from JGW Raven Quest.

I used AC Cardstock in Black and White along with AC POW Glitter paper in Charcoal and a tiny bit of black floss for the button.

Who is Who?

Today I want to share with you some nametags/ place cards I made for my youngest son’s school.

 

I’m known for not keeping my mouth shut and one day I couldn’t help myself commenting on how boring the nametags were. The Teachers reaction: Well….you’re creative….why don’t you make some for us? 😀 Challenge accepted.

 

 

I found the cute Pencil Card in the JGW Back 2 School Kit and simply downsized it a bit (75%) and cut to slits in the backside for a small piece of cardstock to fit for the name. I did this so the tag/card can be used for more than one student.

I used AC Cardstock in Melon, Vanilla, Charcoal, Grapefruit, Ash and White and let my Silhouette do all the work for me. All I had to do was assemble the card/tag.

Happily it was a succes and they loved it. No more boring white nametags in an otherwise colorful school.
