Halloween Countdown….

….well if we can have Christmas in July, we can certainly also have Halloween in July!

For the past week (or so) I’ve been playing with the brilliant Halloween 3D Pumpkin Stack Countdown from JGW – that is when I haven’t been chasing Pokémons or battling in Gym Raids with the kiddos and Hubby. 😀 This was a ‘UGE project but so much fun – I don’t recommend it to beginners but if you’re somewhat experienced in paper crafting, I say you must make it! (Get it here or here )

For the pumpkin I used AC Cardstock in Squash ( 😀 ), Chestnut, Oregano, Boysenberry and Black. I also used some wood patterned AC Cardstock in Chestnut along with patterned paper from Basic Grey – Eerie Collection (an oldie but goodie)

I inked al edges with a dark brown inkpad from Prima and used some small metal handles instead of eyelets. Finally I dotted the numbers and the Medallion with Nuvo Glitter Drops – Midnight Sky and tied a ribbon in the Medallion and around the stem. I found some spooky embellishment to hang from the top.

Here are some more pic’s of the Pumpkin:

Thanks for stopping by and remember to let me know if you like my project ❤

Let it snow…..

…..Oh can’t wait for the snow (if we get some) – although I would like a week or two with sun and warmth cause Denmark has hardly had any this summer 😦

Anyways – what I want to show you is my version of JGW’s Large Layered Snowflake On Stand (get it here or here ):

DSC_0005

I used White AC Cardstock along with DCWV Mercury Glass Paper and White Glitter paper and then I tied a string of lights around the whole thing – looks awesome lit – don’t you think?

Now I’m off to do what I do best – Halloween 😀

Thanks for stopping by and remember I love comments ❤

Jul i Juli (Christmas in July)

….joining the trend 😀

Since it’s hot and sticky outside with no sun, my conscience allows me to make beautiful things in my craft room instead of being outside 😉 And what better way to cool down than making a beautiful 3D snowflake like JGW’s Snowflake 3D Stick Ornament (buy here or here )

DSC_0005

This gorgeous and rather large ornament is made up of several layers and it’s so brilliant constructed (like all Jodi’s 3D designs 🙂 ) I just love those sticks!!!

The original design is made one-sided but I want to hang mine in a window so I made it double-sided. I used White AC Cardstock for the snowflakes and BoBunny’s Winter Wishes as patterned paper. I also used some white glitter paper for the smallest snowflake and found some acrylic snowflakes to tie in the middle of the ornament.

Now I’m onto another JGW design…..but that’s another story 😉

Thanks for stopping by and please remember to leave me a small comment on how good I look or the like 😀

Shining Topiary

….another wacky idea of mine came true 😀 It was the first thing I thought of when I saw Jodi G. Warner’s Flower Ball Topiary Tree (found here or as design #200021+#200024 in the Silhouette Design Store) I need to put some lights into this! But how?

DSC_0009

First of I found the instructions here and here. This is not a project if you’re a newbie in paper crafting! It’s a bit tricky getting everything to fit together and it’s VERY important that you follow the instructions (oops 😉 )

I used various papers from Graphic 45 for the Flower Ball and also for the pot and AC Cardstock in Kraft, Chestnut and Cranberry. I filled the pot with small bags of glas pearls and moss and then to the lights…..

Boy did they give me trouble 😀 I used a small battery operated string of LED lights (you can get them anywhere) with 20 lights and put a light into all the flowers (during construction of the ball) except the bottom one. Then I used the rest of the string to wrap around the stem and hid the battery case in the pot underneath the moss. I chose to leave the lights in the flowers and let the light shine through the small hole in the embellish-flower (did widen the hole in it a bit)

After a bit of cursing and yelling I got it done 😀 My poor family….I tell you!!!! LOL But I’m so happy with the result and the lights shine exactly how I want them to – YAY!!!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I really love to share my projects with you and I love all the comments you write me ❤ Thank you.

Colorful-lei…….

….sorry! Couldn’t come up with a better name 🙂

As I was playing with SVGCuts Tropical Party Kit (see previous post), I remembered that I hadn’t made Bird’s gorgeous Lei from the Club Tropicana Collection. So I got out some bright colored cardstock from AC and started cutting out all the flowers. I didn’t make the spacers cause I borrowed the idea from SVGCuts to use straws as spacers and in practically no time I had my fantastic Lei:

All ready for summer parties or pride 😉

The only thing I regret is that it doesn’t match the rest of the projects I made from Bird’s beautiful collection last year:

Thanks for stopping by ❤ and do leave me a small comment ❤

Tropical Paradise

…..that’s where I’ve been for 14 days and I got to prolonge my tropical feeling when I returned home with heavy crafting withdrawals, cause Mary of SVGCuts made our dreams come true with this gorgeous new kit Tiki Party:

DSC_0004

This new kit contains 8 projects of which I made 6 and to start it off here’s the Lantern Trio:

DSC_0008

I made these from AC Cardstock in Pacific, Key Lime and Lipgloss and decorated with patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs “Fun in the Sun” collection. I also used some small gems from Queen and Co. in yellow. I filled in some moss into the lanterns to give it a little extra natural feel and the flowers are inked with ink pads from Prima. 🙂

Next is the Palm Tree and Flamingo Straws:

DSC_0013

For these two projects I used AC Cardstock in Moss, Chocolate, Lipgloss and Melon and colored in the tip of the beak with a black sharpie. The straws are from AC and yes….of course it is Mojito in the glas jar. 😛

Then I made the Tiki Bag and Palm Leaf:

DSC_0018

I downsized the bag and leaf  to 50 % and added a small color shifting LED light. I used AC Cardstock in Chocolate, Clay, Pacific and Key Lime for the Tiki Bag and Key Lime and Moss for the Palm Leaf. Then I found a small jewelry ring-thingy to put in Tiki’s nose and added a small paper flower made from Prima flowers. I embossed the side panels of the bag with an embossing folder from Darice with a basket weave pattern.

Last but not least I made the Tropical Bucket:

DSC_0020

For this cutie, I used AC Cardstock in Pacific, Key Lime and Sunflower and decorated with Doodlebug paper. I found some tiny gems in yellow in my stash for the center stem and inked the flowers with inkpads from Prima. I also put in a small LED light and embossed the flowers with a wood patterned embossing folder from Sizzix.

Oooooo I totally forgot about the Lei that you can see in the top picture. I used 6 colors (Pacific, Key Lime, Lipgloss, Melon, Sunflower and Lavender) of AC Cardstock, about 60″ of twine and 6 limecolored paper straws also from AC. So glad I made it in 6 colors….It’s gorgeous!!!!

Aaaahhh…..It felt sooooo good getting the creative juices flowing again and what a treat to do it with a kit that lets you stay in tropical paradise for a few days more. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and I really love to get some comments on how you like the projects. 🙂

Now on to more projects……………

I’m baaaack…….

…..from a nice Summer Vacation in Barcelona, Spain. It was HOT!

But that’s not what I’m about to show you 🙂 During my vaca, my youngest nephew graduated from Business School and I had made a present and card for him before leaving for Spain.

The card I made is designed by Lori Whitlock and found here or here. It’s called an Insta-Cube Card and it really fun both to assemble but also to receive:

DSC_0005

It is a very clever design that folds into the flat “envelope-type-box” but pops instantly into a box when pulled out of the envelope. I altered the embellishments on mine to make it fit the occasion of graduation and in the right colors as well. I used AC Cardstock in Crimson, Storm and White along with Carta Bella Gold Foiled Dotted paper and MMEs On Trend paper. The sentiments reads “Congratulations”

You’ll find the tutorial for the card here

For the present I made the Lucky Coin Box from Dreaming Tree:

DSC_0011

I made mine a bit different from the original to make it fit the present inside: A whole bunch of coins (10 kroners Danish currency) So I made the top of the lid a bit like the design on the coins (with the Queen and all) and made a graduation hat out of the Police Hat from the  Police Gift Box and the lid from the Octopus Cookie Box both from Dreaming Tree.

I used AC Cardstock in Chocolate, Black, White and Wave along with Gold foiled paper and a small red glittery dot as embellishment.

Here’s another pic of the box:

DSC_0009

I was so pleased when my nephew wrote me to thank for the gift and told me how much he liked it 🙂 Mission accomplished !!!

Ok….so now I go unpack from my travel……Nahhhhh!!!! I want to spend the entire weekend crafting cause I’m FAAAAR behind on new bundles and kits from my favorite SVG pushers and I need to get rid of my heavy crafting withdrawals.

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know if you like this project ❤
