Time to Move

I know. It’s only been a year since I moved but here we go again. This just wasn’t the right spot for us but we hope we’ve found it now and get to stay for years to come.

I was going to have this post ready for my usual spot on the first Wednesday of the month but *SIGH* ….. I had to go to the hospital due to a infected Gall bladder.  The pain started at 4.45 am Monday and by 6.30-7.00 am I was admitted. Been pumped hard with antibiotics and there was even talk about surgery but it never happend. Instead I now have to wait two months for a control meating and decide weather I want the bladder removed in a risk surgery or live my life with occasional gall stone attacks. Geeee….what do you want? Plaque or Cholera? Anyways….I’m home, pain free and still on antibiotics and today is the day I want to post 🙂

This little project is made on inspiration of the move 🙂

Billede 04i

The darling Vintage Flatbed Truck from Simply Crafty Svgs is downsized by 50%

I used AC Cardstock in Charcoal, Cranberry and Caramel along with Silver Metallic Kraft paper from Tim Holtz.

All edges are inked with distress Ink in matching colors and for the Flatbed I used a wood grain ebossing folder. I added panels on the inside too.

Billede 04e

Finally I used various gems as head and tail lights and adhered the front bumper with a few foam squares.

Billede 04f

Billede 04c

For the load on the truck, I used the cute Moving Box  freebie that I had Sandy of Simply Crafty Svgs design for me after Danish standards.

I downsized it to 25% of the original (very very small) and made 6 in total.

Billede 04h

Then I added two chairs and a table I found in the Silhouette Design Store (design ID #26460 designed by Jennifer Wambach and design ID #26461 also by Jennifer Wambach)

These are also downsized to 25 % of the originals and tied to the boxes with some hemp cord.

Billede 04g

I had several other ideas for truck loads – like this cute crate with apples made from a Silhouette Design Store fil ID #66549 by Lori Whitlock.

Billede 04a

Again this is extremely downsized and the apples are made from small wooden beads.

Billede 04b

I used a Cricut Marker to draw small nail heads onto it and the panels are embossed both on the inside and the outside and inked with Distress Ink.

Billede 04d

This little darling is going to stay with me and remind me of this moving. It was so much fun to make this small.

Thanks so much for stopping by – please do leave me a small comment below and to all you US visitor – Happy 4th. of July

Quick Little Gift Box

A little while back my Aunt turned 70 and my Mom wanted to give her a personal gift. Not something material but more like an adventure gift (not sure this is the right term) so she got her a couple of Cinema tickets for her and her daughter and a gift card for snacks. This way they can spend a cozy evening together.

My Sister asked me if I would print the tickets out so she could give them to my Mom but I thought I would do something on the side too

So I made a little gift box for them using the Small Ink Pad Holder from Simply Crafty SVGs:

Billede 01a

Looks kinda like ever other Gift Box but the size was perfect for the tickets and I really love the drawer opening. Only thing I changed was leaving out the ink holder part of the box.

Billede 01c

I used AC cardstock and patterned paper from Graphic45’s Vintage Hollywood Collection. What more perfect for a giftbox containing Movie Tickets? And the Movie Theater where they are going, is an old fashioned one so win win 🙂

Billede 01b

I felt the box was a bit naked so I made the bow from the Decagon Gift Box also from Simply Crafty SVGs and added a little matching resin rose in the middle.

So much fun when one design can be used for something completely different than the original intent.

Thanks for joining me today. Going towards a busy time/month now as I’m moving again and need to pack up everything and still keep sane….Yup good luck with that Helle! 😀

If you like this project I really would like for you to leave me a comment – otherwise I won’t know you’ve been here 😉

What happens if……

…..you want to make a cake for your Sister who’s turning 49 and insist that there be 49 candles on the cake?

I tell you what happens…..the darn thing catches on fire! 😀 49 candles on a cake – even on a layered cake – is a heck of a lot 😀

Luckily this is only a paper cake…..

Ok….the fire isn’t real either 😀

Phew! 😉

IMG_6546

This is the new Topsy Turvy Cake from Simply Crafty Svgs totally covered with the 49 candles. I used the candles from the Birthday Cake and downsized them to 75% of the original. The candle on top is #49 and is in original size 😉

IMG_6543

49 candles is a LOT of assembling 😉

I used AC cardstock in bright rainbow colors and patterned paper from DCWV’s Rainbow Splash Stack. I LOVE color….can you tell?

IMG_6547

I also made flames in different sizes and color to put here and there on the cake. I found it in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #2830 by Silhouette.

I also found the fun little Stick Figures in there design ID #29027 by Snapdragon Snippets and these help tell a little funny story about the fire 😉 These are cut from black Pearl Paper.

IMG_6553

This little guy is trying to out run the flames…..

IMG_6551

….while this one is trying to help his buddy who’s hanging on for dear life.

IMG_6550

Here is one hanging on a candle while his friend lost his grib and has fallen off the cake plate….poor little guy 😦

IMG_6548

These guys are working hard on trying to put out the fire but the fire extinguisher (from the Light the Candles Card also by Simply Crafty Svgs) is way to large for them so they have to climb up to reach the handle – one is already there and another one is trying with the help of his friend. They have it going cause one little dude is blown away by the foam spray and one candle is almost put out. One little guy is not so lucky because he’s hanging off the side of the cake with his head on fire 😮

IMG_6541

I saw that these guys needed help so I made a fire truck to come and hose down the fire. I found this in the Silhouette Design Store as well design ID #62496 also by Snapdragon Snippets. I down sized it to 50% and as you can see, it’s tiny! But the ladder is working…..

IMG_6554

…..and soon help is on the way as one guy is operating the truck while his co-worker is running off the ladder to help all the guys in need.

Unfortunently they forgot their firehose and the truck has caught on fire 😮

Good thing is only paper….right? Imagine what 49 real candles can do? 😮

Happy 49th Birthday Sis (when the day comes) Now you know what coming to you 😉

Thanks for joining me today. What do you think of my crazy project? I mean….who makes 49 candles???? Please let me know in a comment below

Mom’s Le Chef

One thing I didn’t sign up for when becoming a mom, was the constant questions: What’s for dinner? When’s dinner? Or having to cook more than more meal cause the kids can’t eat the same food – *SIGH* Bet I’m not the only one.

It doesn’t help when cooking is my least favorite thing to do. I really wish I could hire someone to do it for me 😀 Like my sister for instance. She used to be a Chef and is making the most delicious and healthy food.

This dilemma is what inspired this Simply Crafty SVGs project – the Chef Hat:

Kokkehue

This hat is actually a box and I did make it as such. It will come in handy if I give it away. Right now it’s sitting on a kitchen shelf for a bit of amusement 😉

I made it from AC Cardstock and used the Print and Cut feature in my Silhouette software to make the text on the panel. This is one I found in the Silhouette Design Store ID #139760 by Sophie Gallo.

I bet we’re going to get a kick out of it 😀

Thanks for joining me today 🙂 What do think of this project? Let me know in a comment below and remember to come back real soon!

The Secret Lives of the Cracked Chick

Ok so I had a lot of fun with the Cracked Chick from Simply Crafty Svgs even though I was only going to make a few for my Easter decorations. My vivid imagination took over and went insane. Not only did I make some funny Chicks but I had to make some funny pictures as well. They just might be manipulated a tiny bit 😉 oh and all chicks are downsized by 50%. No animals were harmed in the process 😉

My original idea was to make the chick in a few cute versions and one of them was a little girlie Chick. Just hatched and the remaining shell lying right beside her:

IMG_634611_InPixio_InPixio

Ok so she’s a bit cross eyed and properbly not your typical little cute Easter Chick but she loves colors and wanted to pose in a pile of feathers.

The bottom shell piece is made by enlarging the shell hat of the Chick and making it a bit longer. It’s just for show.

I used an embossing folder from Darice with a cracked pattern – perfect for a cracked egg shell.

I used a white sharpie to make reflexes in her eyes and nose and the flower is one I happened to have in my stash.

That’s when things got a bit out of hand. 😀

I noticed that the Sailor Hat from SCS would fit if downsized to the right measurement and if the Chick was a sailor, he would need a boat sooooo:

IMG_634711_InPixio

…he got a boat. Made from the Fishing Boat Box, I created a sail boat by adding a pole, sail and flag. These are found in the Silhouette Design Store ID #100976 by Snapdragon Snippets and ID #61978 by Carta Bella.

I used a wood grain patterned embossing folder for the panels and sanded them slightly to make the pattern show more. Then I added a net and some starfish from my stash along with the lifesaver and oars with comes with the Fishing Boat Box file.

Now he’s a happy little sailing Sailor Chick 😀

One of my original ideas was to used the Chef Hat also from SCS to make a Chef Chick but that didn’t work out as planned. The hat was too large for the chick but the top part of the hat fit and making the chick in brown like made out of chocolate…..

IMG_634911_InPixio

…. I had my very own Aladdin Chick on a Magic Carpet.

The Top part looks exactly like a Turban and the carpet I made for him, is found in the Silhouette Design Store (design ID #85512 by Studio Ilustrado) I just added a panel on top and bend it a bit here and there for the flying look. I used patterned paper from DCWV’s Luxe Lodge Stack.

Then I added a feather and a gem to the Turban and Aladdin was ready to fly.

So once again my imagination got to run wild and I’ve had a very fun evening and morning making these cuties.

Let me know in a comment below if you like these wacky chicks and I wish you a Happy Easter – thanks for visiting

Hanging Easter Eggs

Next week Easter begins and usually I decorate a bit for the Holiday but this year I can’t find my stuff after the move. So I figured I would make a thing or two this year.

My DT assignment this time was these two Easter Eggs made by Annie Collins (These are available via Anne Ingram in The Multi Crafters Craft Cafe Albums):

Easter_Eggs w watermark

I printed two sets out and colored them in with my Promarkers and then used the Print ‘n Cut setting on my Silhouette Cameo, to cut them out.

Then I made an offset of the eggs and cut out two of each in AC Cardstock.

I found two cute Egg Doilies in the Silhouette Design Store design ID # 40140 designed by Megan Hardy and cut both out of Pearl Paper in pastel colors matching those of the offset cutouts.

Finally I glued the digi stamps onto the offset cutouts and glued one on each side of the Egg Doilies and voila….two new hanging Easter Eggs.

One in pastel purple/pink:

Ophæng 1

And the other in Pastel blue/Ocean Blue:

Ophæng 2

These are pretty big but it’s very easy to downsize them so they could hang from a branch in your Easter Decoration.

Thanks for joining me today – please let me know in a comment if you liked this project and then I want to wish you a Happy Easter – stay safe.

Love Monsters

Today it’s my turn to show a little DT project for the Coffee Beans Design Team and the Love Monsters digi stamp I’ve used is sponored by:

proud sponsorBugaboo

This time I made a Flip Flap Card that I found in the Silhouette Design Store ID #136973 by Lori Whitlock and I used the cute Love Monsters digi Stamp.

Lovemonsters1

I got the idea of the little monsters being caught inside the jar, ready to be given to someone special either as a Mother’s Day card or maybe (in these crazy times) as Get Better Card. No matter the occasion, these darlings are sure to bring the message of love 🙂

I used AC Cardstock, pattern paper from Doodlebug Design’s Fairytales Collection and a piece of Acetate (doesn’t show at all on this picture). The lid is made from Bazzill Bling Cardstock.

I colored in the stamp with Promarkers.

Lovemonsters2

Now it’s ready to be shipped of to someone special.

Thanks for joining me today – please leave a comment below if you like this card.

Flower Gift Bag

In these crazy Corona/Covid-19 virus times, most of us are “forced” to stay at home and this can certainly be a challenge for some. Not for me. This is just what I usually do. I’m not a social butterfly irl but I love to socialize online though 😉

The trick for me to be able to stay at home without going more mental than I already am, is crafting and these days it seems like it more legit to do so. I don’t have to go to bed early so I can get the kids to school in the morning and I can’t go to the Gym (not my favorite thing in the world but somethings are just a necessity). Luckily I’m a craft supply hoarder so I got everything I need at hand. Yay.

It can be difficult to decide on what to make next but the last couple of months it hasn’t been a problem for me due to Design Team projects, favors, gifts etc. Also I like to participate in Challenges. To test myself and to get better at what I do.

Yesterday I posted the latest challenge I entered – the “Stack-a-holic Challenge” on DCWV’s Facebook Page. Today I want to show you my entry in their “Quick-Challenge” on Instagram.

The assignment was to make any flower-themed project made mostly with DCWV products. I used some time to think about what to make but fairly quickly I settled on the cute and pretty Framed Panels Bag from SVGCuts’ Bunny Trail Bags.

DSC_0001

This gift bag is great for many occasions mainly because you can decorate it with different images on the front – like these cut-outs I did or maybe you could use pictures of the recipient.

I used the “Watering Can” stack from DCWV and used the sentiment cards in the stack for the front panel.

As the theme was flowers I chose to cut out some Asters from the Harvest Mail kit also from SVGCuts. They match the flower on the patterned paper perfectly. I dotted the flower center with Gold Stickles.

DSC_0003

I used the same stack for all sides of the bag….

…..the sides:

DSC_0005

and the back:

DSC_0008

Finally I used some Tim Holtz boxwood wire as a handle and I was done.

DSC_0004

Now it’s ready to be used for the next perfect occasion….that is when this virus nightmare is over….but it’s always nice to have stuff on hand.

I would really love it if you would go here on Instagram and vote for my entry in the Challenge. You vote by clicking YES to my picture. You need to click on the DCWV story/logo to find my picture to vote. Just click YES 🙂

I really want to win (duh who doesn’t) as the prize is a new DCWV stack and these are not accessible in Europe….yet anyways.

Thank you so much for visiting today and thanks for voting. Join me again soon as I have a DT project for the Coffee Beans Design Team coming up next week 🙂

Challenge Card

Just popping in to show the card I made for the March Stack-a-holic challenge from DCWV.

I really like a good challenge to push myself further, cross boundaries and use new or old techniques so these monthly challenges are very welcomed 🙂

Usually these Stack-a-holic challenges have a sketch for you to follow – this is this month’s sketch:

89188728_10158396539300312_4629313908534935552_o

I try to follow the sketch as much as possible but at the same time I like to think outside the box.

Here’s my entry:

SAH Kort Marts 201

The card base, one flag and the shaker box frame is made from AC Cardstock. The rest is patterned paper from the Preserved Papers Stack by DCWV.

I distressed the edges of all the panels and fussy cut the butterflies.

I added some glitter and gold music notes to the shaker and places a few resin roses and enamels dots here and there.

The rose leaves are from the Silhouette Design Store design ID #200492 by Alaa’ K and I cut them in green pearl paper.

I hope you like this card and I would really love if you would go here and cast you vote on my card simply by liking it. The prize is a new stack from DCWV and since the new ones aren’t available here in Denmark or Europe, I would really love to win one.

Thank you so much ❤ and remember to stay safe 🙂

At the End of the Rainbow…..

….is a pot of gold 🙂

This I’ve been told a million times as a kid and I’ve re-told this legend to my own kids (they’re not as gullible as their Mom 😉 )

This tale of gold is the same whether you’re from Denmark, Ireland or the USA etc. The symbol of luck – the four leaf clover – is also a international symbol.

We don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Denmark (unless you’re of Irish decent) but I still found it fun to make this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – to pay some tribute to the Irish 🙂

Krukke med guld4

For this project I used the Witch’s Cauldron from Simply Crafty Svgs. It’s made from AC Cardstock in Black and Shamrock along with Green Glitter paper. I left out the handles on the cauldron as it’s a pot 😉

I used the Shamrock from the Leprechaun Hat Treat Box as embellishment and the rainbow is a file from Miss Kate Cuttables that I modified a bit.

I used my Cricut Maker for this project and it was because I wanted to use my new Debossing Tool. I did not over do it 😀 – just a horse shoe here and a shamrock there just to try it out. This is cool….already thinking up new projects to use it for 🙂

Krukke med guld1

Now I just waiting for the boys to come home and be the Leprechauns they usually are, stealing all the gold from the pot 😀

Krukke med guld3

I want to wish a Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all of you that celebrate.

Thanks for joining me today. It’s crazy times right now. Countries are shutting down, schools are closed and I think most people are pretty scared right now. Luckily we can’t get infected online, so it’s still safe to visit each other here 🙂 Stay safe out in the real world ❤
