Quick Little Gift Box

A little while back my Aunt turned 70 and my Mom wanted to give her a personal gift. Not something material but more like an adventure gift (not sure this is the right term) so she got her a couple of Cinema tickets for her and her daughter and a gift card for snacks. This way they can spend a cozy evening together.

My Sister asked me if I would print the tickets out so she could give them to my Mom but I thought I would do something on the side too

So I made a little gift box for them using the Small Ink Pad Holder from Simply Crafty SVGs:

Billede 01a

Looks kinda like ever other Gift Box but the size was perfect for the tickets and I really love the drawer opening. Only thing I changed was leaving out the ink holder part of the box.

Billede 01c

I used AC cardstock and patterned paper from Graphic45’s Vintage Hollywood Collection. What more perfect for a giftbox containing Movie Tickets? And the Movie Theater where they are going, is an old fashioned one so win win 🙂

Billede 01b

I felt the box was a bit naked so I made the bow from the Decagon Gift Box also from Simply Crafty SVGs and added a little matching resin rose in the middle.

So much fun when one design can be used for something completely different than the original intent.

Thanks for joining me today. Going towards a busy time/month now as I’m moving again and need to pack up everything and still keep sane….Yup good luck with that Helle! 😀

If you like this project I really would like for you to leave me a comment – otherwise I won’t know you’ve been here 😉

What happens if……

…..you want to make a cake for your Sister who’s turning 49 and insist that there be 49 candles on the cake?

I tell you what happens…..the darn thing catches on fire! 😀 49 candles on a cake – even on a layered cake – is a heck of a lot 😀

Luckily this is only a paper cake…..

Ok….the fire isn’t real either 😀

Phew! 😉

IMG_6546

This is the new Topsy Turvy Cake from Simply Crafty Svgs totally covered with the 49 candles. I used the candles from the Birthday Cake and downsized them to 75% of the original. The candle on top is #49 and is in original size 😉

IMG_6543

49 candles is a LOT of assembling 😉

I used AC cardstock in bright rainbow colors and patterned paper from DCWV’s Rainbow Splash Stack. I LOVE color….can you tell?

IMG_6547

I also made flames in different sizes and color to put here and there on the cake. I found it in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #2830 by Silhouette.

I also found the fun little Stick Figures in there design ID #29027 by Snapdragon Snippets and these help tell a little funny story about the fire 😉 These are cut from black Pearl Paper.

IMG_6553

This little guy is trying to out run the flames…..

IMG_6551

….while this one is trying to help his buddy who’s hanging on for dear life.

IMG_6550

Here is one hanging on a candle while his friend lost his grib and has fallen off the cake plate….poor little guy 😦

IMG_6548

These guys are working hard on trying to put out the fire but the fire extinguisher (from the Light the Candles Card also by Simply Crafty Svgs) is way to large for them so they have to climb up to reach the handle – one is already there and another one is trying with the help of his friend. They have it going cause one little dude is blown away by the foam spray and one candle is almost put out. One little guy is not so lucky because he’s hanging off the side of the cake with his head on fire 😮

IMG_6541

I saw that these guys needed help so I made a fire truck to come and hose down the fire. I found this in the Silhouette Design Store as well design ID #62496 also by Snapdragon Snippets. I down sized it to 50% and as you can see, it’s tiny! But the ladder is working…..

IMG_6554

…..and soon help is on the way as one guy is operating the truck while his co-worker is running off the ladder to help all the guys in need.

Unfortunently they forgot their firehose and the truck has caught on fire 😮

Good thing is only paper….right? Imagine what 49 real candles can do? 😮

Happy 49th Birthday Sis (when the day comes) Now you know what coming to you 😉

Thanks for joining me today. What do you think of my crazy project? I mean….who makes 49 candles???? Please let me know in a comment below

Birthday Cake

In April through September, there’s usually a lot of Birthdays…..more than in the rest of the months of the year. Why that is….well….you can figure out for yourself 😉

It’s no different in my Family so deciding on making the adorable Birthday Cake from Simply Crafty SVGs was a very easy choice.

The hardest was picking out paper – it always is 😀 This time I picked some Stacks from DCWV – “Watercolor Ombre” and “Unicorns and Rainbows.”

DSC_0005

The bottom piece is made from Tonic Studios “Holo Waves” and the cake is decorated with several Prima Flowers.

This first one I made didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted it to, so I made it into a hat instead 😉

Lagkage hat

I glued the lid shut so it doesn’t fall of when wearing it and used some clear elastic thread so it will stay in place on top of your head – my head in this case 😉

The next cake was more to my satisfaction and I decorated it with lots of small Prima roses and made the Display Stand also from Simply Crafty SVGs, for it to stand on.

DSC_0008

Mmmmmm good enough to eat. And yes it is a box but I didn’t have any yummys to put inside this time (I properbly ate them) 😀

Here’s a close-up

DSC_0009

This will be perfect to give away, hiding a gift to some of all those who’s Birthday is soon coming up.

Wishing Ewe….

Today I’m back with a little wooly project that fits all kinds of celebrations.

The digi stamp I used this time, is sponsored by:

proud sponsorBugaboo

With Mother’s Day coming up and lots of Birthdays etc. I thought it fitting to make a little box that can hold a chocolate bar. Who doesn’t love to receive chocolate?
My choice fell on the 3D Mummy Candy Box designed by Jamie Cripps (Silhouette Design Store design ID #68840) but only the box itself, so I stripped it of all the unnecessary parts and added a panel with the darling digi stamp Wishing Ewe.
The background on the panel is also one I found in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #22287 by Rivka Wilkins.
DSC_0001

I colored in the stamp with Promarkers along with a grey Sharpie, a glittery Gelly Roll and a white Sharpie for the eye highlights.

I also added a few enamels dots for a little something extra.

Then I put the chocolate bare inside…..

DSC_0003

….and it’s ready to be given away to someone special.

Thanks for joining me today ❤

Fabulous at 50

Thursday my friend turned 50 and tonight we’re celebrating her. Wow – 50 already! 😮 (I’m naturally YEARS away from that – still a kitten of 29 😉 )

This fabulous lady loves her shoes, bags and (like me) Rock Music 🙂 So how to combine these into a present?

First I found the items I wanted to make. SVGCuts is one of my favorite go-to places and she didn’t disapoint 🙂 Then I found the paper – all perfect together. And what more perfect than a 50’s theme for at 50th Birthday????

Ok – first of is the Stylish Handbag from the  Brunch Party SVG Kit:

DSC_0008

I used AC Cardstock in Black and Robin’s Egg and decorated with papers from Authentique’s “Fabulous” Collection along with glitter paper in teal, glossy paper in black and gold foiled cardstock.

I inked all the edges with Distress Ink in matching colors and added a few cut outs from the paper kit to the tags, that I attached with a ball chain and decorated with an fluffy embellishment from my stash.

DSC_0010

I made the bag in 75% and it’s perfect for holding my gift for my friend.

I also made her a card and my choice fell on the “Party Card – 33” and the sleeve from the “Happy Birthday Card – 45” from the Rockin and Rollin SVG Kit:

DSC_0016

This is made from AC Cardstock in Black and Vanilla and decorated with the same papers as the bag except the sleeve which is made from paper from the “Dapper” Collection also by Authentique.

DSC_0018

I decorated the sleeve with a few stickers from the kit and some flowers from Prima plus a few coordinating enamel dots.

DSC_0014

The Envelope is made from the “Fabulous” paper.

Now I’m really excited to see her reaction to this present – I mean – that is one bag she doesn’t have in her HUGE collection 😉

Thanks for joining me today – please remember to leave me a small comment below and have an awesome and crafty weekend ❤

Cheers

The Spring months of March, April and May are Birthday months among our Family and friends – so they are busy months for me 🙂 And I don’t mind 🙂

I love creating stuff for others and especially if I can give the things I’m making a personal touch. Something special for the recipient 🙂

This Sunday we celebrate my hubby and besides the love for Pokémon hunting and football/soccer, he loves beer. So what more natural than to make a beer themed Birthday present for him 😀

I started out with the Beer Growler from Simply Crafty Svgs:

DSC_0006

This large container is made from AC Cardstock in Chocolate and decorated with gold foiled paper and a print and cut label I threw together.

I am very surprised how easy this growler was to make and it’s huge! No worrying about if the gift will fit inside – it will 😀

Then I made the Beer Glas also from Simply Crafty Svgs:

DSC_0010

This perfectly shaped, yummy, foaming beer glas is made from AC Cardstock in Canary, Sunflower and Vanilla.

I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders with bubbles – one with big bubbles for the foam lid and one with small random bubbles for the glas panels.

I also inked the panels on both the lid and the glas with Distress Ink in Dried Marigold.

This glas is also rather large, very easy to make and will fit part of his present too.

Now all that’s left to do is buy the presents and wrap everything in cellophane (maybe)

Thank you so much for joining me today – please feel free to leave a little message for me below and have a fantastic day ❤

……will be back real soon with another Birthday project 😉

Be a Unicorn

I am ashamed! Very ashamed of myself. Because I didn’t send a good friend of mine something for her Birthday last week. It was in my calendar but I’ve been so busy getting ready to go on vacation, that I didn’t have time to make her anything and of that I am ashamed.

So better late than never, I’m going to send her this Unicorn Rainbow 3D Box Card….

DSC_0004

….cause I know she loves unicorns as much as I do and this will put a smile on her face and maybe….just maybe….she’ll forgive me for being so late.

I made the darling card with AC Cardstock in various colors to match the Graphic 45 paper (Fairy Dust) that I used and then I sprinkled some fairy dust in dots here and there for magic and good luck.

DSC_0006

DSC_0008

The sentiment says Congratulations in Danish and it’s written on the Magical Layered Banner

DSC_0010

It’s a very fun card to make and it won’t be my last 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today – please feel free to leave a comment to yell at me or just to tell me if you like the card 😉

Flowers for the Birthday Girl

I always try to remember to bring a little something for the hostess when going to a Birthday party. It could be flowers or chocolates or this:

DSC_0008

This is the Box Hex Med with Lid from SnapDragon Snippets (also available in the Silhouette Design Store) that I downsized by 50%.

I made this for my niece who invited us over for her Birthday last Sunday and it was instead of a flower.

It is made from AC Cardstock in Black and Peacock and decorated with Graphic 45s “Floral Shoppe” patterned paper. I used a little resin rose in black as the handle on top of the lid.

In this box I put some Ricola Original Swiss Herb Bon Bons because it matched so well with the floral paper 😉

c7c95928-e4d6-11e4-8cde-2490b0625cb3

I do hope she likes these candies (I do 😉 )

I also made her a card to match:

DSC_0006

This adorable Bloom Flowers 5×7 Card is also from SnapDragon Snippets but can also be found in the Silhouette Design Store.

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Banana, Vanilla, Oregano, Peacock, Rosebud, Cranberry, Mustard, Leaf, White and Kraft Wood patterned cardstock also from AC.

All edges are inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink Pads and the two small wooden dots are from My Minds Eye.

The sentiment say “Congratulations” in Danish and is written with the sketch pen option in the Silhouette Software.

DSC_0004

She got a Birthday gift as well 🙂 I love my niece – nothing is too good for her 🙂

Thanks for joining me today and please feel free to leave me a small comment on your way out ❤

More Spring projects to come soon – so stay tuned 😉

Chocolate Favors…..and a Card.

Mmmmmm don’t you just love chocolates? I do and I also love giving it away – mostly so I won’t get any fatter from eating it 😀

Nahhhh…….in reality it’s because I think sweet people deserve something sweet and scrumptious once in a while and these cute Nugget Sleeves from Tracy Moon Rushton of Idea Closet are so darn clever and perfect for giving away such sweets.

Now living in Denmark makes it a bit difficult getting the exact same chocolates – the Hershey’s Nuggets – but I found an alternative that almost fit the same size: Anthon Berg Mini Marzipan Bars 😛

DSC_0027

Just think of the possibilities in making these sleeves….They are endless! This is just one suggestion but I see packets with baby pictures or company names on it!

I made it from AC Cardstock in white and Basic Grey patterned paper “Lemonade” (Really old collection) The flowers are from Prima and the small dots are from Doodlebug Design 🙂

This is the tag to fit the sleeve:

DSC_0028

I also made the darling A2 Layered Roses Card from Idea Closet:

DSC_0026

I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Pool, Grapefruit, Peach, Banana and Robin’s Egg along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Cafe Parisian”

I used my Epiphany Shape tool 1/2″ round to make the three small epoxy charms in the top of the card and used Doodlebug dots for the flower centers. All edges are inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink pads from Prima.

To match the card I also made a small sleeve for three bars:

DSC_0025

Made in AC Cardstock in Vanilla and decorated with “Cafe Parisian” paper it matches perfectly.

The butterflies are cut out of the same paper and so is the tag that reads: “Au Chocolat” (made of chocolate)

DSC_0029

For both tags, I used the Silhouette Sketch pens and sketch feature to write the sentiment as my own handwriting is awful (should have been a doctor…..)

Thanks for joining me today – I really hope you enjoyed the pictures…..please let me know ❤

Happy Birthday Mom!

My Mom’s birthday is tomorrow and I just want to show you what I made for her (we celebrated today so now it’s ok for me to show you 😀 )

Dreaming Tree recently released the Cupid Crush Bundle and this is where you’ll find the Love Blossom Pop Up Card. DSC_0004

I did alter my version a bit – leaving out some of all the hearts. I also added three flowers from the Apple Blossom Lantern,  also from Dreaming Tree, to the front of the card.

I made the card itself from a piece of Prima “Raspberry Tea Collection” paper. Then I added some white pearl paper that I embossed with a Tuscan Tile pattern.

The flowers are made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud and Shrimp and the leaves are in Grass. Then I added some white pearls along with some gold sequins, Doodlebug jewels and a gold embellishment I happened to have in my stash.

The card is a pop up card and here’s a look of the inside of the card:

DSC_0006

It was this gorgeous lush flower that sold this card to me!

I made it from vellum that I inked with Prima chalk ink. The flower center is made from green vellum and the leaves are AC Cardstock in Grass and Key Lime.

So that was the card.

I also made her a flower decoration:

DSC_0002

This is the Mothers’s Day Bon Bon Bouquet again from Dreaming Tree.

I changed out the heart on the front with a Peony flower from the Peony Gift Box also a Dreaming Tree design.

The box is made from AC Cardstock in White and decorated with panels made from Prima “Raspberry Tea Collection” paper.

The Peony is made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud and Cotton Candy with leaves in Leaf and the center is Banana.

The Bon Bon Flowers are made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud, Shrimp, Cotton Candy, Latté and Robin’s Egg and the leaves and tendrils are made from Leaf and Mint.

All edges are inked with Prima Chalk ink.

I’m very sure my Mom loved it – she loves everything that I make her 😀

Happy 69’th Birthday tomorrow Mom!
